Pursuant to the resolutions of the 17th All India Meet of SLSAs held on 17th and 18th August, 2019 and as per the instructions of the NALSA, panels of lawyers pertaining to all the 13 DLSAs and 138 MLSCs in the State of Andhra Pradesh have been revamped to optimum number so that each lawyer can be allotted sufficient cases. The Panel Lawyers in the High Court Legal Services Committee are 76. After revamping, the present number of Panel Lawyers in all the DLSAs, MLSCs and HCLSC is 1861 (1785+76).
The Panel Lawyers are being paid fees in the legal aid cases entrusted to them, as per fee structure prescribed under the APSLSA Regulations 1996.
The Panel Lawyers who are entrusted with other works viz., visiting jail clinics, village legal aid clinics, conducting surveys, conducting door to door campaign etc., are being paid at Rs. 500/- per day of work.
